Virtual Trip to San Diego Zoo

Introductory Activities

In the school they have visited the Barcelona Zoo. In the English class, we are going to travel to San Diego Zoo and spend a day doing a virtual trip.

- Go to Google Earth and fly from Barcelona to San Diego Airport. From there, we can go to San Diego Zoo. You have the map here

Developmental Activities

- Create groups of 4

- Go to the map. With the street view you can have a walk in the zoo. Answer the question you have in the 3rd tag. You can also use the map

- Go to the cams to see what are some animals doing at the moment

- Then, visit this link and, in your groups, choose your top 5 animals

- Once you have chosen your favourite animals read the information you have there and complete the presentation

- Now you can also watch some videos of different animals:

Evaluation Activities

- Individually, answer these questions:

- Do you like the trip?

- Have you walk through the zoo with street view? Was it difficult?

- What animal can you see on the third spot?

- Write 3 things you have learned about any animal

- Do you like the activity?

- What other places do you want to visit?
